Flagstone

Virginia Mountain Flagstone

Virginia Mountain Flagstone is from the same geological location as Calico. Thus meaning it is a Sandstone Quartzite that has been exposed tothe elementsand its surface has obtained a “weathered” appearance.

Stones range from large saucer to +/- 2’x2′ in size. Thickness is from 1 1/2″ — 2 1/2″. (Also available in 2 1/2″ — 4 1/2″)

Though it is a flagstone, it tends to not be as smooth as standard flagging.

Primary uses are: Stepping stones, outdoor patios, large veneer pieces, and flagstone.

Tennessee Flagstone

Tennessee Flagstone comes primarily from middle Tennessee.

Stones range from large saucer to +/-2’x2′.

There are three thicknesses of Tennessee Flagstone: Thin (3/4″ and less), Regular (3/4″ — 1 1/2″), and Heavy (1 1/2″ — 2 1/2″)

This particular stone come out of veins, which are layers of stone. Leaving the top of the stone almost perfectly smooth.

Color ranges from buff, brown, rust, orange, some pinks, some blacks.

Primary uses: Flagstone, patio stone, walkways, and stepping stones.

Tennessee Blue/Grey

Tennessee Flagstone comes primarily from middle Tennessee.

Stones range from large saucer to +/-2’x2′.

There are three thicknesses of Tennessee Flagstone: Thin (3/4″ and less), Regular (3/4″ — 1 1/2″), and Heavy (1 1/2″ — 2 1/2″)

This particular stone come out of veins, which are layers of stone. Leaving the top of the stone almost perfectly smooth.

Color ranges from blue/grey, grey, and some rust or black.

Primary uses: Flagstone, patio stone, walkways, and stepping stones.​​

Pennsylvania Bluestone

Pennsylvania Flagstone is a dense sandstone that comes from North Eastern Pennsylvania.

Stone sizes range from large saucer to +/-3’x3′.

Bluestone comes in two different thicknesses: 1″ Flagging and 1″-2″ Flagging.

Much like Tennessee Flagstone, Pennsylvania Bluestone comes out in veins, leaving the surface almost perfectly smooth.

There are two different color choices for Pennsylvania Bluestone: Full Color or Lilac.

Main uses for this stone are: Flagstone, walkways, patios, and stepping stones.

Pennsylvania Bluestone Pattern

Pennsylvania Bluestone Pattern is a dense sandstone that comes from North Eastern Pennsylvania.

Much like Tennessee Flagstone, Pennsylvania Bluestone comes out in veins, leaving the surface almost perfectly smooth.

Pattern comes in three different thicknesses: 1/2″, 1″, and 1 1/2″.

To create the pattern look, this Bluestone is cut into different sizes ranging in 6″ increments from 12″x12″ – “30”x36″

Color options for this stone are: Full Color, Blue, or Lilac.

Primary uses for this stone are: Flagstone, patios, walkways, capstones, stair treads.
